WHAT IS BLOGGING

Blog is short for “web log” blogs is a type of website typically maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary on a wide range of topics and niches such as news & current events, entertainment, personal online diaries , etc. Most blogs contains a combination of text, video, and pictures. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.

TYPE OF BLOGS

Personal Blogs are like online diaries that people use to write about events in their life, a current event, or to make a journal of a certain chapter in their life.

Micro blogging, which is extremely detailed blogging as it seeks to capture a moment in time. Sites, such as Twitter, allow bloggers to share thoughts and feelings instantaneously with friends and family.
Business Blogs, today more and more businesses are using blogs because they are great for keeping employees and customer up to date with company news and information, great for building public relations, marketing products, services, staying in tone with the latest trends in their industry and much more.

HOW TO BLOG

1. Sign up an account on a popular site like Blogger, RegVip, HubPages, Twitter, etc.
2. Select your topic you can write about your niche, personal experience and knowledge, you can do a review or report on a product or service, current events, etc.
3. A GREAT TITLE- The title is one of the most important parts of your blog make sure you pick a good one.
4. Once you select your topic list the key points you want cover.
5. Do good research on the topic and gather your resources.
6. Organize your blog with a strong beginning, captivating middle, and an ending that makes the reader want more.
7. Make sure you write well and use good writing skills.
8. Use relevant and original content do not copy someone else’s material.
9. Write the blog using a word processor with a very good spellchecker I use Word.
10. Have someone proofread your work and make the necessary corrections.
11. Keywords are very important make sure you select 15-20 good keywords that best describe your blog.
12. Pictures-I recommend you add a picture to your blog make sure it’s a good one and it’s related to the blog.
13. Post you blog.
14. PROMOTE! LET ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND CONTACTS KNOW ABOUT.
15. REPLY TO ALL READER COMMENTS IN A TIMELY MANNER KEEP THEM ENGAGED!
